About
is a pioneering organization that utilizes art, creativity, and creative technologies to spark self-confidence, encourage independence, and build pathways to employment for autistic and other neurodivergent individuals. Located in Milwaukee, WI, the practice offers a range of programs for autistic and other neurodivergent learners from ages 8 through adult, organized into four levels: Open Lab, Foundation, Digital Academy, and Community. These programs aim to provide a welcoming community where individuals can build confidence, connect with peers, discover strengths, learn new skills, and feel seen and supported. Islands of Brilliance takes the creative experience beyond the studio classroom and into various environments, such as museums, zoos, and planetariums, through their IOB@ program. The organization also offers workshops, including the Digital Academy, which provides advanced creative challenges for 14+ participants. By providing a supportive environment, Islands of Brilliance helps individuals develop their creative skills, social skills, and confidence, ultimately preparing them for employment and a brighter future.
