Serving the following counties: Napa, Solano, Sonoma, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, San Diego, IRI provides competitive and integrated employment and living services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since 1984, IRI has facilitated the employment of over 20,000 persons with significant disabilities in the USA and Australia through its MentorWorks program. This program works with private and public employers to assist with the recruitment, hiring, training, and ongoing support for persons with disabilities in integrated work settings and self-employment. IRI's approach promotes a mentoring approach for employers, resulting in superior inclusion and retention outcomes for workers with disabilities. The organization's mission is to empower people with disabilities to live, work, and play in integrated community settings, and to advocate for their rights and dignity.
