Independent Living Resources (ILR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities by providing services using both staff and volunteers. Founded in 1957, ILR initially provided Braille textbooks to the community before expanding its services to include orientation and mobility, peer counseling, recreation, and skills training. ILR is committed to helping over 3000 people annually, and provides core services such as advocacy, information and referral, peer counseling, and skills training. With a steadfast mission to support people with disabilities, ILR continues to make a positive impact in the community.
