Access Central Coast, formerly known as the Independent Living Resource Center, Inc., is a public-benefit, nonprofit organization that promotes the Independent Living (IL) philosophy and self-sufficiency for all people with disabilities. Based in Santa Barbara, CA, they serve the tri-county region of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties. Their mission is to promote independent living and full access for individuals with disabilities in their communities. They support individuals of all ages who want to live independently by maintaining a registry of private-pay caregivers and helping people and their families connect with qualified care providers who best fit their needs. Access Central Coast offers a range of services, including Aging & Disability Resource Connection, ASL Interpreting, Assistive Technology, Benefits Counseling, Blind & Low Vision Services, and more.
