Independent Living, Inc.

is a nonprofit agency led by people with disabilities for people with disabilities. Since 1987, they have helped individuals and families across the Hudson Valley break down barriers and live with independence, confidence, and choice. With more than 40 programs and services, they partner with people of all ages and abilities to build inclusive communities where everyone can thrive. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities, and their vision is a barrier-free society with opportunities for all people to achieve their maximum potential. They offer a range of services, including advocacy, ADA consultation, benefits advisement, case management, deaf and hard-of-hearing services, developmental disabilities employment services, consumer-directed personal assistance program (CDPAP), information and referral, peer support services, mental health services, and recovery center programs.
