Independent Lifestyles, Inc. (ILICIL) is a 501(c)3 organization based in Sauk Rapids, MN, that was founded in 1997 with the mission to help persons with disabilities break down barriers in their communities. Our team of over 45 staff members and 80 PCA’s, have come together to provide individuals with disabilities all the same opportunities for living arrangements, employment, transportation, recreation, and other aspects of everyday life that non-disabled individuals take for granted. We believe that everyone should have the ability to make decisions that affect their life, pursue activities of their own choosing, and be limited only in the same ways their non-disabled neighbors are limited. We strive to create a sense of self-determination and freedom, so that individuals with disabilities can pursue their own course of action and experience the freedom to fail and learn from their mistakes just like any other person.
