Hebrew Academy For Special Children

Established in 1963, HASC offers educational and clinical services to individuals from infancy through adulthood who exhibit developmental delays. The organization provides Early Intervention, Preschool, and School Age services to over 1,100 children each year, with services offered at the child's home, daycare center, nursery school, or at their center-based locations. HASC is licensed by the New York State Department of Education, the New York State Department of Health, the Nassau County Department of Health, and the Rockland County Department of Health. They receive grants that supplement their existing school programs, providing enrichment opportunities such as adaptive computers, adaptive physical education, music and dance therapy, after-school programs, and funds for education improvement. With a focus on individualized needs and respect for diversity, HASC serves children and families across the New York region, including NYC, Nassau, Rockland, Westchester, Orange, and Putnam Counties.
