As a former educator and school counselor, Heather is passionate about the mental health of adults and adolescents. She aims to practice ethically and professionally, helping her clients grow and thrive despite challenges. Heather specializes in anxiety, codependency, coping skills, depression, and grief. She uses experiential therapy techniques, including Internal Family Systems, Coherence Therapy, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy. Heather's goal is to help her clients identify goals and potential solutions, understand emotions, strengthen self-compassion, and promote behavior change and productive mental health. She serves adolescents, college students, and adults, addressing various issues such as physical disorders, conflict resolution, anger management, impulse control, and negative self-talk. Heather is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Counseling Association, Mississippi Counselor Association, and Mississippi School Counselor Association. She has received numerous awards and honors for her work, including the 2017-2018 Mississippi Counseling Association's School Counselor of the Year and the 2020 Grief Sensitive Schools Initiative Grant. Heather is a dedicated professional who is committed to providing high-quality counseling services to her clients.
