Healing Strides, Inc.

Healing Strides of VA (HSVA) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization established in 1991, located on 22 acres in the Roanoke Valley. Our facility features 2 large pastures, 3 paddocks, a round pen, an enclosed arena, a Mental Health, Learning, and Coaching dedicated building, and an outdoor arena. We have a professional staff, certified instructors, trained volunteers, and a herd of 20+ horses. As the only Professional Association of Therapeutic Riding Int’l (PATH) Premier Accredited Center (PAC) in the Roanoke Valley, HSVA provides Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy Program (EAAT) services, including Therapeutic Riding, Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), Hippotherapy, and other programs related to equine therapies. We follow the Eagala Model for EAP and EAL.
