Founded in 1957, Harwood Center, Inc. is a private nonprofit agency located on Park Ave in Memphis, TN that provides education, therapy, and support for Mid-South families and children who have developmental disabilities. Our specialized program offers services for children ages two years old through transition to kindergarten who have a diagnosed developmental disability, experience delays in their development, or have behavior challenges. Our services are primarily offered at our two preschool locations Hanley and our CUBS classroom at the University of Memphis, as well as our clinic at the University of Memphis. Our highly qualified staff, led by licensed special education teachers, board certified behavior analysts, and educational specialists, strive to help children reach their full potential by learning functional skills that will enhance their development. In addition, we provide ongoing training and support to our families. Over the years, Harwood Center has helped more than 5,000 children with developmental disabilities get a better start in life.
