Gliding Stars is a pediatric therapy organization that provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to increase their personal potential through development of ice skating skills in a regular program of instruction and practice. Located in Gates Mills, OH, the organization serves individuals ages 18 months through adults with disabilities, offering a unique approach to therapy through adaptive ice skating. Each skater is fitted with customized skates and other adaptive skating equipment, including helmets, harnesses, and walkers, all specially designed by Gliding Stars, Inc. The program is inclusive in terms of age, race, gender, and ability, and welcomes neurotypical siblings, family, or close friends to learn to skate alongside their loved ones with challenges.
