At Gliding Stars in Gates Mills, we believe in the power of ice-skating to bring physical, mental and emotional growth to those with disabilities. Our program provides physical benefits like improved posture, coordination, muscle strengthening, and balance. We also offer an inclusive environment for all ages, races, and genders, and a variety of disabilities ranging from cerebral palsy to hearing impairments. We strive to create a supportive atmosphere where skaters can feel empowered to achieve positive goals, build self-confidence, and gain social skills that can help them succeed in other life situations. Additionally, we rely on a network of 1.8 volunteers per skater, dedicated to ensuring a fun, loving environment. At Gliding Stars, we are committed to helping those with disabilities reach their full potential.
