The Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (FDVR) has been providing services for persons with disabilities since 1920. FDVR is proud to have been instrumental in the passing of the Smith-Fess Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the 1992 Amendments to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, all of which have had a tremendous impact on American life and culture by promoting civil rights and providing individuals with disabilities the same freedoms as everyone else.
