She is a National Certified Counselor and a graduate of Liberty University. Florence enjoys working with college students and has experience working in campus ministry. She is fluent in both Mandarin and English, bringing a unique and culturally sensitive perspective to her counseling practice. Florence's goal is to create a safe space where clients can freely explore their emotions and thoughts, feeling heard and understood. She views counseling as a pathway to help people uncover their strengths and acquire tools to navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, identity confusion, life transitions, and other tough situations. Florence loves connecting with people, soaking in the beauty of nature, and cherishing those quiet moments. She practices under the supervision of Lynn King, LPCC-S. Beacon Counseling Center's Florence Yuan serves adolescents, adults, and children (ages 8+), focusing on self-esteem, identity issues, anxiety, depression, stress management, transition/adjustment concerns, and cross-cultural issues.
