Exceptional Children's Foundation - Art Centers - Whittier Art Center offers services for young children, students, and adults with special needs and developmental, learning, and emotional disabilities. Founded in 1946, the organization has expanded its services to meet the changing needs of its target population, providing early intervention programs for infants and toddlers, residential, work, and day programs for adults, and a comprehensive Mental Health Program. With an annual operating budget of $28 million and 375 staff, ECF currently supports nearly 4,000 children, adults, and their families at 14 service sites throughout L.A. County. The Whittier Art Center is one of the art centers operated by ECF, providing a unique approach to therapy through art. They serve children and adults with special needs, empowering them to reach their greatest potential.
