Emily Dolentz, MSW, LGSW, is a therapist who works with adults navigating a wide range of experiences, including trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and relationship struggles. She has a particular passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ folks and caregivers in the early years of parenting. Emily's approach is holistic and integrative, drawing from psychodynamic, existential, emotion-focused, and person-centered traditions. She also incorporates concepts and tools from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and expressive therapies. Emerge Therapy offers various services, including psychoanalytic psychotherapy, therapeutic yoga, Play Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Couples Therapy, and EMDR. The practice has two locations: Park Glen, MPLS West, and North Loop. Emily Dolentz is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker, practicing under supervision, and holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Saint Thomas and a Bachelor of Science degree in Gender & Women’s Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
