Easter Seals Central Alabama was founded in 1953 by a small group of individuals who wanted to create a better central facility to serve those with disabilities in the River Region. Our first consumer, a lady from Opelika who had lost one of her legs below the hip, was served in 1961. Today, we have moved into a new building and have updated our logo while continuing to meet the needs of those living with disabilities. We provide a variety of programs and serve as a resource hub for thousands of children, adults, and seniors across Alabama.
