With a focus on understanding the impact of childhood and adolescent experiences on relationships, Duane helps individuals and couples identify and address the root causes of their issues. He approaches counseling as a way to teach clients about relationships and provide them with the tools to re-write their "programs" and develop healthier relationships. Duane's unique understanding of human needs and behaviors, gained through his experience working with intellectually disabled adults and chronically mentally ill adults, informs his work with clients. He emphasizes the importance of meeting basic human needs through relationships and addressing conflicts that arise from unmet needs.
