He went on to earn a major in Psychology and a minor in Anthropology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk. Dr. Chapman then went on to get his Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and completed his internship at the Perry Point VA Medical Center in Maryland and externship at the Terry Center for Children in Delaware. He then moved to Georgia and took a position with the Rehabilitation Institute of Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Dr. Chapman opened his own private practice in Gainesville and eventually moved it to Dahlonega.
