Dr. Lois H. Pope, Ph.D., is the founder and former Clinical Director of Alabama Psychological Services Center (since 1993). A Doctorate holder in Clinical and Social Psychology from Vanderbilt University, Dr. Pope completed her Doctoral Internship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Her clinical training and experience was focused on the various disorders of childhood and adolescence, but she also diagnosed and treated many adults. Her research aimed to understand how personality and situational factors influence mental disorders. Dr. Pope is a member of the National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology, American Psychological Association, and Alabama Psychological Association.
