Dr. Lauren Tobing-Puente and Associates is a private practice of licensed psychologists and mental health clinicians in Manhattan and Bayside, Queens that specializes in the assessment and treatment of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders of communicating and relating, including autism spectrum disorders, as well as children with a range of social-emotional challenges. Our unique multidisciplinary approach utilizes the DIR (Developmental Individual Differences Relationship-based) philosophy, Floortime strategies, and other complementary approaches to promote social-emotional development and address underlying challenges that may impact an individual’s ability to regulate, interact, express feelings, cope with challenging feelings and be reflective. Our offices are child-friendly and include a sensory gym, which enables us to address underlying challenges in sensory regulation and informally assess challenges in movement. We collaborate closely with school personnel and other treatment providers to ensure the best possible care for our clients.
