Dr. Kelli Tahaney is a licensed clinical psychologist offering online (video) therapy for adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, or grief and loss. She specializes in helping adolescents and young adults with problematic alcohol or drug use as well as anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Dr. Tahaney's goal is to create a non-judgmental, supportive, accepting, validating, and compassion-filled environment for her clients to begin to heal from and learn to cope with the difficulties life has thrown their way. She offers diagnostic evaluation and individual therapy for adolescents and adults, both in-person and via video conference, and is authorized to provide telehealth services to clients in multiple states. Dr. Tahaney approaches therapy through a cognitive behavioral lens, focusing on better understanding the interaction between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how unhelpful thinking patterns and/or behaviors may be altered to help alleviate suffering. She incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) into her practice. Dr. Tahaney is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Colorado, with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Boston University and extensive experience working with patients with anxiety disorders, depression, grief/loss, and trauma or PTSD.
