With over twenty-five years of experience, she has worked with individuals struggling with complicated histories and families, specializing in Trauma, PTSD, and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing. Dr. Hoffer's approach to therapy utilizes Contemporary Psychoanalysis, Attachment Theory, Trauma Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and EMDR. She is centrally located and accessible from surrounding areas, including Montclair, Wayne, Cedar Grove, and more. Dr. Hoffer's purpose as a therapist is to build a trusting relationship where individuals can share their deepest thoughts and feelings, laying the foundation for making changes. She is a Case Consultant for the Manhattan Institute of Psychoanalysis Trauma Studies Program and serves on the CPPNJ Board of Directors as Director of Training, teaching and supervising psychotherapists. Dr. Hoffer's goal is to help individuals identify unhealthy patterns and explore emotions that may be impeding them in their lives, ultimately leading to profound changes for their future.
