Her passion has been child sexual abuse prevention and treatment. Dr. Jones has extensive experience working with sexually abused children and adults, and she incorporates her knowledge and experience in the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse into all of her work. She has educated therapists, students, parents, teachers, child welfare staff, attorneys, social workers, and many others about child sexual abuse. Dr. Jones has a broad perspective and insight into how to prevent child sexual abuse and how to work with survivors to begin their healing journey. She has worked in outpatient mental health, focusing on teen pregnancy prevention and working with children and adolescents who had experienced extensive early trauma. Dr. Jones has also served in leadership positions at nonprofits in New York City, including as the director of a child sexual abuse program at an organization in the Bronx, NY. She has received her education from New York University, including a master of Social Work degree and a post-master's certificate in Clinical Practice. Dr. Jones is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) on the local, state, and national levels.
