With a strong background in clinical child psychology, Dr. Castro received her PhD from DePaul University and completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She has experience working in community mental health clinics, hospitals, and schools, and has taught third year medical students at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Castro is committed to providing high-quality mental healthcare to families in the city, and is the co-founder and executive director of Healwise, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to mental healthcare for low-income and underserved communities.
