She enjoys helping clients who have new diagnoses of ADHD and/or autism understand and work to process their new identity. Dr. Kopelman is certified in Animal-Assisted Therapy and uses a facility dog in her work with clients. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys working with individuals from other cultures. In addition to therapy, Dr. Kopelman provides neuropsychological evaluations for autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, giftedness, and intellectual disabilities. She uses multiple modes of therapy, depending on the needs and experiences of each client, integrating aspects of cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness therapy, humanistic therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Dr. Kopelman also has extensive experience with IEPs and 504 plans, and can provide neurofeedback to help a variety of issues. She works to foster a compassionate, supportive, and genuine relationship, believing that clients must feel fully supported and accepted to make meaningful progress.
