About
The Developmental Educational Assistance Program (DEAP) is a not for profit organization that provides community-based services to support individuals and families in strengthening their skills and abilities. DEAP serves families in 26 eastern Montana counties, targeting their supports to families raising a child with assessed developmental delays or trying to build their parenting skills, adults with disabilities, and young adults aging out of the foster care system. The organization also administers a statewide respite program to give caregivers a break. DEAP's services are provided through contracts with the State of Montana's Department of Public Health and Human Services, and they continue to respond to opportunities to expand services that will strengthen their communities. DEAP seeks out private and public funding sources to support people's essential needs in more flexible ways, filling in the gaps.
