She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Systemic therapy, and is also trained and certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to deal with trauma. Dr. Dayton's therapeutic orientation is multicultural, considering issues of gender, culture, race, and sexual orientation that impact her clients, as well as the LGBT community. She works with individuals, couples, and families, and has a special interest in working with women, children, and adolescents. Dr. Dayton is licensed to practice psychology in TX, MA, and NH, and has Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) granted by PSYPACT. Dr. Dayton's approach is tailored to the age and needs of each child and family, and she works closely with parents to ensure the best possible outcomes. She is a member of the Human Rights Committee (HRC), Texas Equality, and Division 44 (Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity) of the American Psychology Association, and a member of WPATH.
