David Samlan, LMFT, provides a safe and supportive relationship with clients, focusing on creating a healthy relationship as the gateway to healing and growth. He works from an eclectic approach, incorporating theories such as family systems, humanistic, attachment, and somatic experiencing, as well as evidenced-based interventions like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). David Samlan has experience working with people of all ages, couples, and families, and has worked in various settings throughout the Bay Area, including in-patient treatment programs and school-based settings. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#47517) with a Master’s Degree from New College of California in Social/Clinical Psychology.
