Connections Speech and Language Therapy was founded by Melodie Meadows in Asheville, NC. Melodie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Carolina University in 1987 and her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders in 1989. She holds a license to practice from the state of NC, as well as the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Melodie has worked in various settings including a residential facility for adults with developmental disabilities, public and charter schools, and a pediatric outpatient unit at a rehabilitation hospital. She is passionate about helping children reach their fullest communicative potential through fun, engaging therapy activities. Melodie has over 30 years of experience and enjoys witnessing the joys of a child’s first word, smile, or laugh, as well as their growing sense of pride and accomplishment.
