About
Community Resources for Independence (CRI) is a community-based, non-residential, non-profit corporation that connects community resources for independent living to individuals with disabilities in order to maximize their independence and the accessibility of the communities in which they live. The organization serves individuals with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, adult autism, veterans, and the elderly. CRI's mission is rooted in respect, equality, and empowerment, and they believe everyone should have the opportunity to live independently and contribute to their community in a way that reflects their strengths and values. They offer a wide variety of services, including home care, community-based services, consumer wellness, and non-medical transportation, to help individuals with disabilities live active, independent lives. CRI's services are peer-conducted whenever possible, and they work with individuals to determine what assistance will enhance their quality of life the most. With a highly-skilled staff devoted to making life easier, CRI provides support for people with intellectual disabilities, helping them gain more than assistance; they gain the ability to make choices, set goals, and live a self-directed life.
