Community Access Center – Desert Hot Springs

They are a community resource and educator for Riverside County residents with disabilities. Established in 1995, Community Access Center has achieved community recognition and has substantially expanded its services. They serve all people with physical and mental disabilities regardless of race, ancestry, religion, age, marital status, sexual preference, gender, and/or income. Their mission is to empower people with disabilities to control their own lives, create an accessible community, and push for their complete social, economic, and political integration. They provide information, supportive services, and independent living skills training to support individuals in making choices that will positively affect their independence. Community Access Center offers various services, including Americans with Disabilities Act, Assistive Technology, Disaster Planning, Housing, Individual Navigation & Peer Counseling, Individualized Education Program, Nursing Facility Integration, and the RAMP Program. The RAMP Program makes life easier for individuals to live independently by providing a ramp system that allows access and mobility to their home. They also provide wheelchair users with a modular ramp at no cost. Community Access Center has a presence in Desert Hot Springs, CA, and serves the Riverside County area.
