Founded in 1996, the practice has provided equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) for individuals with physical, mental, emotional, and developmental disabilities in the Montgomery County, Frederick County, and greater Washington, DC area for over 27 years. Their program has supported more than 200 people annually, meeting the high standards set by PATH International. The practice's mission is to enhance the quality of life for their participants. Unfortunately, due to financial burdens and the end of their horses' working lives, Circle of Hope will be closing their doors.

About the team: Lesley Shear, the Executive Director, has been with Circle of Hope since its inception and will be retiring. She expresses gratitude to the riders, families, volunteers, board members, and donors who have contributed to the practice's success.
