Child Health Specialty Clinics (CHSC) Iowa Regional Autism Assistance Program (RAP) is a part of the University of Iowa Division of Child and Community Health and the Stead Department of Pediatrics. They provide gap-filling clinical care, health assessments, care coordination, and family to family support for Iowa's Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs and their families. The RAP team uses standardized tools to identify children at risk for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and helps families find diagnostic services and community-based supports. They also provide technical assistance and training on evidence-based screening and assessment tools to medical home early intervention community providers.
