Channel Islands Social Services (CISS) is a family-run, private service organization that provides direct support to individuals, their dedicated caregivers/parents, and families with developmental disabilities. Our committed team of caregivers specialize in a variety of services, such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, intellectual disabilities, Foster Parents, and Kinship Caregivers of young children. Our mission began in 2004 when our co-founder, Sharon M. Francis, identified the lack of local respite services in Ventura County and decided to launch Channel Islands Social Services with her husband, Tim. We provide personalized care and flexible assistance to local families so that they can take a break and refocus their priorities.
