About
Center Toward Self-Reliance is an Independent Living Center that empowers people with disabilities to function as independently as possible and to be active contributing members of society. Based in Pueblo, CO, they serve 17 counties across the state, including Alamosa, Baca, Bent, Conejos, Costilla, Crowley, Custer, Fremont, Huerfano, Kiowa, Las Animas, Mineral, Otero, Prowers, Pueblo, Rio Grande, and Saguache. The center offers five core services established by the National Council on Independent Living: Advocacy, Independent Living Skills, Transition Services, Peer Support, and Information and Referral. Their mission is to empower people with disabilities to move toward self-reliance, and they have been serving the community for over 30 years. With a team of over 30 individuals, they work tirelessly to ensure that all consumers have access to the services they need.
