Center for Independent Living of Broward

Founded in 1991, the practice has served more than 100,000 individuals with disabilities in fulfilling their goals of independence and self-sufficiency. They strive to enhance the lives of people with disabilities, regardless of age, in Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee counties. The Independent Living Philosophy emphasizes empowering people with disabilities to control the direction of their own lives, making their own choices and decisions, and taking responsibility for their actions and the results. Center for Independent Living of Broward offers assistance to people with disabilities through various programs and services, including core services, youth and employment services, community engagement, home accessibility and innovative technology, and leadership. They also provide advocacy and support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their inclusion and integration into all aspects of community life.
