Founded in 1972, the Center for Independent Living is the first independent living center in the country. They offer a range of services, including assistive technology, travel training, core services, and youth programs, primarily serving people with disabilities and their families in Northern Alameda County, including Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda, Emeryville, Piedmont, and Albany. The practice has offices in Berkeley and Oakland, and their working hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with Saturday and Sunday closed.
