At the Center for Independence – Lakewood (CFI), we are committed to empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve greater independence in the community and beyond. Our non-residential, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is operated by people with disabilities and serves those ages 14 and up. Through outreach, advocacy, and independent living skills development, we provide resources for individuals with disabilities to access and participate in the community. We work with participants to help them reach their independent living goals, such as self-sufficiency, self-advocacy, and self-determination.
