The Walker Scottish Rite Clinic, a fully integrated program of Maryville University, is committed to teaching two-through six-year-old children with speech and language disorders the communication skills necessary to succeed in school and throughout their lives. This goal is achieved through early identification and long-term therapy and by training parents to use techniques with their children at home. The Clinic serves children at multiple site locations in the Greater St. Louis area, including St. Louis City and County, Jefferson and Lincoln Counties in Missouri, and also provides services via telepractice. The Clinic has been serving preschool age children since 1988 and receives no federal funding, with all services provided free of charge to client families.
