Canine Companions for Independence Northwest Region

Canine Companions for Independence Northwest Region is a national organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained service dogs at no charge to the recipient. Founded in 1975, Canine Companions has provided over 8,500 service dogs to people with disabilities and now has six regional training centers serving people throughout the U.S. The organization's service dogs are used for a variety of tasks, including assisting individuals with mobility issues, providing emotional support, and alerting individuals with disabilities to important events. Canine Companions is headquartered in Santa Rosa, CA, and serves people throughout the country.
