Since 1963, The Camphill School has been dedicated to providing a unique approach to education, incorporating prevocational skill building, therapeutic care, and extended family living for children in first through twelfth grade. They also offer a Transition Program for young people ages eighteen to twenty-two. The school is part of the worldwide Camphill movement and is accredited by AWSNA and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. The Camphill School is licensed by the Pennsylvania Departments of Education and Public Welfare for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their mission is to create wholeness for children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities through education, therapy, and extended family living, enabling them to more fully unfold their potential and meaningfully participate in life.
