About
They use humanistic, narrative, strengths-based, and person-centered therapy approaches. Cam currently accepts new clients on a case-by-case basis and offers both telehealth and in-person sessions. They take a collaborative, strengths-focused approach, helping clients uncover self-compassion and celebrate every step forward. Cam's approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and tailored to each client's unique needs, drawing from various therapeutic modalities. They strive to create an equal, welcoming space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings, and life challenges. Cam is passionate about serving the LGBTQIA2S+ population and working with individuals who are open to slow and steady self-exploration. They believe in dismantling oppressive systems and acknowledging the role that intersectionality plays in oppression and privilege. Cam is a white, queer, neurodivergent, trans/nonbinary person, and they bring critical self-awareness and lived experience into sessions. They are knowledgeable about the LGBTQIA2S+ and neurodivergent communities and feel allied with polyamory, ENM, and kink. Cam is not a good fit for clients who prefer strictly structured sessions or believe therapy will fix issues immediately. They believe in approaching sessions collaboratively with care to acknowledge and tear down power differences in the therapeutic relationship. Cam has had lived experience with mental health struggles as a queer, neurodivergent person, which provides them with a deeper understanding and empathy for clients.
