The California Foundation for Independent Living Centers (CFILC) was founded in 1976 to provide peer support to the emerging Independent Living Centers throughout the state of California. Our mission is to empower people with disabilities by advocating for their rights and providing resources for independent living. As the original representatives for the ILCs, we have been educating policymakers in Sacramento about the issues to ensure people with disabilities have equal access to resources and opportunities.
