The practice provides education, counseling, foster care, and other services to help young people and their families grow and change through restorative practices. Buxmont Academy serves students and clients, boys and girls, grades 7 to 12, struggling with a wide range of behavioral and emotional problems, including learning difficulties, drug and alcohol abuse, legal problems, family problems, impulsive or aggressive behavior, lack of self-esteem, mental health issues, ADD/ADHD, oppositional defiance disorder, sexual, physical or emotional abuse, truancy, school suspensions and expulsions. With six school campuses and several community-based foster homes and other programs, Buxmont Academy is dedicated to providing a supportive environment for students to learn and grow behaviorally, emotionally, and academically. The practice's approach to working with youth is based on restorative practices, which helps students take responsibility for their choices and behavior, and emphasizes supporting personal growth and change, balanced with structure and accountability.
