About
Founded on the principles of a God-centered community, they provide meaningful work and community for adults with disabilities. Their mission is to change the way the world views adults with disabilities by providing a platform for them to share their unique talents and abilities. They offer vocational activities, residential support, and a retail shop and café where their citizens' work products are sold. Brookwood in Georgetown operates on the free enterprise system and does not rely on federal or state funding. They believe in an interdependent working community where individuals with complementary strengths and weaknesses work together to achieve their potential. Their goal is to provide a permanent home for 80 citizens plus staff through their residential community, Grace Place by BiG, which is currently under construction.
