Bournelyf Special Camp is a summer day camp in West Chester, PA, that provides outdoor recreational activities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities aged 8 and above. Founded in 1980, the camp's mission is to help participants build confidence, improve social and communication skills, and become more physically fit through challenging yet achievable activities. The camp offers three summer day-camp programs: Trailblazers for ages 8-14, Expedition for ages 15-22, and Alumni for ages 23 and above. In addition to summer camp, Bournelyf Special Camp also hosts monthly events and offers off-site, overnight vacations for alumni. Located on 20 acres of fields, the camp features a handicapped-accessible Olympic-sized swimming pool, a nearby pond, and indoor recreational space.
