Boston Center for Independent Living, Inc. (BCIL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been empowering people with disabilities since 1974. Our mission is to provide practical skills and self-confidence to people of all ages with a wide range of disabilities, helping them take control of their lives and become active members of their communities. We strive to promote access and change within society through advocacy and community organizing. BCIL is proud to have been the second independent living center in the country and continues to work towards a future of full integration.
