Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center (BRAAC) | Roanoke

At Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center (BRAAC) in Roanoke, our mission is to serve children and families who face unique learning challenges, including autism and learning disabilities. Licensed by the Virginia Department of Education, we offer specialized educational programs in a private day school setting, as well as direct and consultative services in public schools, an after-school tutoring program, and specialized services for children in their homes. Our purpose is to provide individual learning experiences aimed at promoting growth and development, utilizing a variety of methods such as sequential, multi-sensory, phonetic approaches to the teaching of reading, writing, spelling, and arithmetic; Applied Behavior Analysis; Discrete Trial Therapy; Verbal Behavior; and Task Analyses. We strive to foster a love of learning by identifying, stimulating, and nurturing each student’s learning potential.
