Barren Heights Christian Retreat Center is a faith-based organization that provides free weekend retreats and community outreach events for families who have children with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. Founded in 2004 by Joe and Toni Rose, the center has grown to host over 300 family retreats, impacting over 1,800 families and 7,000 individuals from 25 states. Their mission is to love and encourage families, creating more compassionate communities through families serving families with the love of Christ. Barren Heights offers a unique approach to supporting families with children with disabilities, providing a safe and welcoming environment for them to connect with others who understand their experiences.
