At Ballet Virginia in Virginia Beach, we are committed to making dance accessible to everyone who wishes to participate. Under the direction of Ballet Virginia’s Children’s Program Director, Lisa McCarty, our ballet-based creative movement program is designed to help children ages 3-9 with disabilities and their caregivers/parents. With over 25 years of experience teaching children’s dance classes, Ms. McCarty has completed the Boston Ballet’s Adaptive Dance Teacher Training course to provide top-quality instruction in a positive and fun environment. Our program focuses on fostering coordination, self-confidence, musicality, fitness, and personal growth.
